EP090Woodstock Film Fest 2016 Fistful of Movies+Music

On a recent perfect fall weekend of movies+music in the Catskills during the 2016 Woodstock Film Festival, Christina Kotlar Turchyn and Yuri Turchyn are absorbed in the art of conversation sorting through a carefully chosen weekend schedule of award winning films, picking out the sounds that underscored the visually beautifully-made sights including Alexander North’s Moon Music & Prelude for Rebel Citizen, a documentary on an award-winning cinematographer and local Woodstock resident Haskell Wexler  during the full moon– a Hunter Moon –over Woodstock; Barry Gibb and Vusi Mohlasela Angel for the Maverick Award winner Shepherds and Butchers; Music For Carnival for Play The Devil; and Skip James’ Hard Time Killin’ Floor Blues for the complementary film to the American Epic trilogy, Two Trains Runnin’. Enjoy the show.
