Over the years, I followed film festivals that not only presented excellent programming, but found ways to focus on filmmakers. DC Independent Film Festival Annual Forum makes it their mission to find ways that will help filmmakers move forward with their works. Another establishing aspect since they are in the heart of the DC community is the “On the Hill” event, a Congressional hearing on the benefits of filmmaking to the economy.
